Attached are the instructions for completing the "Personal Information Update."
This is required to be completed by MAY 13. It is ESSENTIAL for the summer bridge course for Hybrid and Online learning. If your certificate is older than a couple of years, it is HIGHYLY recommended for you to retake NC 105.
Once you are able to access the course, you will need to upload the certificate then to NURS 201 Introduction to Professional Nursing course. So keep it handy! Thanks and sorry for the confusion. I was not clear how the instructor was going to receive this information of completion.
By purchasing the books individually you will not get access to the online library which are needed for the program. Using previous students books will not be acceptable as they are issued a code to be used in our program. Please do you research before purchasing somewhere else and not having every thing you need for Mary Grimes School of Nursing.
To see current list of bundles and pricing please go to "Course Search" Click on NURS 201 and then Course Textbooks for current ISBN bundle number.
This is the summer NURS 201 books required for the 3 semesters of second level RN classes. You will not need any additional books to complete your Associate Degree.
In the event that you would need to contact DCF, please use this number. 785-296-6783 , this is a direct number to DCF.
Please return Acceptance Form, Drug Screen/Background Form, signed on both sides with Acceptance Fee.
The Nursing AA will contact you (and post in the group) when the new policies have been posted to the Nursing Handbook for you to read. The Confidentiality and Release forms will be signed in the summer NURS 201 bridge class.
There is an alternate series of 2 shots, if needing the second round of Hep B vaccinations.
2-dose series Heplisav-B at least 4 weeks apart. [2-dose series HepB only applies when 2 doses of Heplisav-B are used at least 4 weeks apart]
Do NOT complete the physical until after May 15, so it will be good the entire spring semester you are in clinicals. We go through the first week of May for clinicals at some sites, and definitely to the end of April. Make up clinical days can go into May also for inclement weather.
The E-Mail to get your Drug Screen completed will go into your Junk/Spam Folder. Please check there 3-5 days after completing your Verified Credentials information online, for the sites that you can get your Drug Screen completed at. Take your phone to show the authorization.
Here is the tentative calendar from Summer 2020. This does not mean it will be the same for Summer 2021. Once Acceptance Fee is received we will send you the dates to select your 2 simulation lab days. Sooner you pay the sooner you will get choices. Please use only your student e-mail to contact NCCC from now on.
