This course provides the opportunity for OTA students to apply didactic learning and theories of occupational therapy in a virtual, video, simulated or community-based setting, under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT), OTA or other qualified personnel. Students will practice therapeutic use of self, develop group interventions, and promote Occupational Therapy by educating other professionals, service providers, and consumers. The focus of this fieldwork will be to address psychological and social factors influencing engagement in occupation for persons or groups with disabilities.
