Description

This course provides the student with insight into the basic psychosocial realms of the individual across the lifespan. The emphasis is placed on the individual as the central member of the health care team with an introduction to the wellness/illness and sociocultural concepts. Attention will be given to the individual as a member of the family, peer group and/or community. PREREQUISITE: Admission to the Nursing Program. CO-REQUISITES: NURS 115 Professional Nursing Concepts I, NURS 116 Practicum I, and NURS 113 Nursing Assessment.
