Description
This course builds upon the information presented in DMS 128 Vascular Ultrasound I. Focus will be placed on the use of ultrasound evaluation in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of diseases and abnormalities of the human cardiovascular system. Students will be instructed in the role of sonography in ultrasound guided procedures/interventions and physiologic vascular testing. PREREQUISITES: Students mus have successfully completed DMS 100 Introduction to Diagnostic Medical Sonography, DMS 105 Sonography Principles & Instrumentation I, DMS 110 Sonography Principles & Instrumentation II, DMS 113 Diagnostic Medical Sonography Lab I, DMS 115 Abdominal Sonography, DMS 120 OB/GYN Sonography I, DMS 123 Diagnostic Medical Sonography Lab II, DMS 128 Vascular Ultrasound I, DMS 135 Sonography Clinical Practice I, DMS 205 OB/GYN Sonography II, DMS 213 Diagnostic Medical Sonography Lab III, and DMS 215 Sonography Clinical Practice II or have program director approval to enroll.
