As a multi-credentialed healthcare leader and educator with experience spanning over 35 years, it is my great privilege to witness our graduates grow into the healthcare professionals of tomorrow.   • Education & Academics: 15+ courses taught across HIT, medical assisting, and allied health; textbook reviewer/contributor for Cengage, McGraw-Hill, and Cognella. Implementation of curriculum for standards at the state level and for accreditation.
  • Public Health, Leadership, & Advocacy: Published work in the Journal of AHIMA. Presenter at the local, state, and national level over various healthcare topics/issue. Attended the AHIMA Advocacy Summit in 2025 to met with local legislatures over the MATCH IT Act and Advancing Non-Clinical Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare Act of 202.5

Description

This course requires the student to demonstrate clinical competencies in the controlled environment of the skills laborator. Students will experience hands-on application of clinical procedures including composnents of documentation and screening procedures.
