Description

This course includes a study of the aging process and its related conditions and the nursing skills required in assisting geriatric residents to reach and maintain their highest level of wellness consistent with the limitations imposed by the aging process. This ninety(90) clock hour course includes forty-five (45) hours of theory and forty-five (45) hours of supervised clinical experience in a nursing home. This course prepares students for the Certified Nurses Aid Exam.

Covid 19 vaccine is required due to the clinical facilities requiring the students to be vaccinated to complete clinical. (Medical or Religious exemptions will need to be approved by the clinical site.) Clinicals are required to successfully complete the course.
